Welcome to Drexel University — and to Philadelphia!
Your Drexel University Cultural Passport is a unique and valuable resource, opening the cultural richness of a great city to you. It can be used in several ways to enhance your freshman experience:
-
MUSEUMS — For one free admission, bring your passport to the admissions desk of the participating institution and present it along with your Drexel ID. The admissions clerk will stamp your passport and you will be given free entry. All subsequent admissions to that institution will be at the posted price for students.
-
PERFORMANCE VENUES — For one free ticket, visit drexelculturalpassport.com prior to the day of the performance and click either the calendar or a link to the specific performance you wish to see. Once on the performance page, click "Sign up for E-Tickets" and log in using your Drexel ID and username. If tickets are still available, you will be issued an electronic ticket. Please take your Passport, electronic ticket, and student ID to the box office. There you will be issued one free ticket. All subsequent admissions to that performance venue will be at the posted price for college students, which is often half-price or less. Visit venue websites for more details.
-
ALWAYS FREE — Many Philadelphia museums and institutions are always free or suggest a small donation to visit. Your Passport includes details on many of the free institutions in Philadelphia. Check the "Always Free" pages of your Passport to learn more and find museum hours and locations.
-
ON CAMPUS — If you're short on time to indulge in culture around the city, take some time to stop by one of the galleries or exhibits on Drexel's Main Campus. On campus, you'll find everything from art and history exhibits to showcases of student work. Most galleries are open and available to stop by between classes while some activities, such as the Drexel Observatory, feature special periodic Open House nights. Turn to the "On Campus" pages of your Passport for more details on Drexel's venues.
Once you have secured free admission to all participating institutions, and throughout your freshman year, consult our site for information about current exhibitions, performances, and special events at participating institutions. Through the website you can also access a calendar of events and a map showing the location of each participating institution.
We know your First Year Experience and overall University education will be enhanced by visiting our cultural partners. Their generosity has made this distinctive Drexel program possible.
